In April of 2024, 100 Cincinnati-based faith leaders from across the business, non-profit, education, government, arts, and congregational sectors came together at City Gospel Mission to commit to the important work of seeing a truly flourishing Cincinnati. This event came about through the unified efforts of several decades-old efforts for city transformation, including City Servants, At Work on Purpose, Mosaix, and more, with Ford Taylor of Transformational Leadership facilitating. Coming out of that City Impact Initiative will be a unified long-term city movement effort developing networks around specific causes and regions, linking arms in the pursuit of a truly impacted city.

To give the good of the city

as a gift to the city

to change the city

Linking arms For a thriving Cincinnati

The Kingdom Initiative is coming together with City Servants, At Work on Purpose, and more to create a positive change engine for the good of our city. This initial process is called a City Impact Initiative and its goal is to craft a sustainable long-term culture of amplified impact in Cincinnati. Read on to learn how.

City Impact Initiative

City Impact Initiatives are short-term strategic, catalytic efforts designed to help cities initiate sustainable long-term efforts to change their communities for the better. Developed by Ford Taylor of Transformational Leadership and Chuck Proudfit of At Work on Purpose, these efforts have been implemented in Atlanta, Dayton, Orlando, Abbeyville, and more.

City Movement
organizations

Over the past few decades, many cities have adopted their own efforts to pursue shared transformation in their cities. This has led to non-profits being formed throughout the country, including regional organizations like For Columbus, Unify Dayton (Declare), Love Akron, and more.

These have organized into broader networks such as the City Leaders Collective and Ohio Good Community Network, both of which include Cincinnati.

The Kingdom Initiative

The Kingdom Initiative is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization in the state of Ohio formed in 2020 by Alex Campbell to facilitate a city transformation effort in Cincinnati. It has since become a presence in the Ohio Good Community Network, City Leaders Collective, and multiple Cincinnati-centric networks, making it a natural fit to serve as the organizational vehicle to facilitate this broader shared effort.

Driven by the question "What can we do together that we cannot do in isolation?" we are beginning to engage and partner with the dozens of networks to see deep systemic change in their shared passion, whether that be a sector, cause, community, or area of gifting. By tapping into these existing efforts - as well as developing new networks to facilitate community, support, and collaboration - we can highlight the incredible good that is already happening in our city while creating an ecosystem to facilitate even more positive impact.

In Cincinnati alone, there are well over 10,000 nonprofits, on top of the numerous other ministries, initiatives, and efforts that do not fall under that banner. Put simply, it is currently impossible for anyone to navigate or keep up with all of the wonderful things happening in the city. Fortunately the world is smaller and more connected than ever, and through a shared platform, we are able to create calendars, communications, and contact points to make it easier for people to get the help they need. Technology also allows for easier mobilization of manpower, resources, and support to the front lines where they are so desperately needed.

How we get there

Asset Mapping

Network Infrastructure

Streamlined Communication

We firmly believe that the pieces are already in place to see a thriving Cincinnati. Through mapping organizations, initiatives, and more, we're able to put a comprehensive toolbelt into the hands of every leader, mental health professional, pastor, librarian, bartender, and eventually every individual in the city to get and give help. For Individuals

For churches

For front-line organizations

To make it as simple as possible to get or give help by providing easy access points for people to connect with front-line organizations that fit their unique situations and interests.

To love, serve, and mobilize your congregation as well as possible while providing an invitation (not expectation) to collaborate at an institutional level to make a greater Kingdom impact where you are already serving.

To help bring passionate volunteers, resources, and connections to assist you on the front lines of your ministry and service as well as connecting leaders with a shared heart to unlock deeper systemic impact.
